Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his fiancée Brittany Matthews are expected to tie the knot here soon. But before the power couple take their vows, the two have a more-pressing thing to attend to.
That includes Mahomes and Matthews welcoming their first child into the world on Sunday. Matthews took to social media with a photo that would make anyone smile.

By now, it’s well known that Mahomes and Matthews started dating all the way back in high school. The two were engaged back in September after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony. Later that month, they announced a new addition was coming to the beautiful family.
“I’m so happy for you guys and can’t wait for all the adventures and happy times,” Mahomes’ younger brother Jackson said in response to Sunday’s news.
Like everyone else, the Mahomes’ clan has been dealing with a lot over the past calendar year. Patrick Mahomes playing an NFL season in the midst of a global pandemic, all the while concerned about his fiancée’s well-being and their soon-to-be-born daughter.

“I’m just super excited to hopefully have a healthy baby and someone I’ll be able to love for the rest of my life,” Mahomes said back in September. “As for what 2020 taught him on a personal level, Mahomes responded, “I think it’s just about growing up, about having the responsibility and evolving as a family.”
