Pat Tillman’s widow on immigration ban: ‘Not what he died for’

As unrest and division over President Donald Trump’s decision to ban immigration from seven Middle Eastern nations continues to dominate the landscape of the United States, its impact on the sports world is being felt.

With protests taking place outside of the Super Bowl LI headquarters in Houston, the NFL world itself is definitely feeling the impact (more on that here).

Now, speaking out against President Trump’s policies, the widow for former player and war hero Pat Tillman is criticizing the commander-in-chief.

It’s definitely a passionate post from Marie Tillman. It comes more than a decade after her husband was killed in Afghanistan following the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

As a voice of authority on this due to her backstory, Tillman can act as a voice for those who many believe are seeing their rights trampled on in the United States.
