Packers exec shuts down report that Green Bay will host 2022 NFL Draft

On Saturday, news started circulating that the Green Bay Packers were awarded the right to host the 2022 NFL Draft, but the report was quickly shut down.

The rumor started with Packers blogger Kyle Cousineau sent out the following tweet after teasing a big report.

Not even an hour later, Packers Vice President of Communications, Jason Wahlers, shut down the rumor emphatically.

The draft will be held in Las Vegas this year, then will move to Cleveland in 2021. The 2022 host has yet to be determined, though we do know that the 2023 NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City.

So, the Packers haven’t necessarily been eliminated for 2022, but they also haven’t been chosen, either.
