Outfielder Avisail Garcia is opting out of his contract with the Milwaukee Brewers and entering free agency, MLB Network reported Thursday.

Garcia, 30, batted .262 with a career-high 29 home runs and 86 RBIs in 135 games in 2021.

He signed a two-year, $20 million contract in December 2019 that included a mutual $12 million option for 2022.

An All-Star with the Chicago White Sox in 2017, Garcia is a career .270 hitter with 127 home runs and 475 RBIs in 951 games with the Detroit Tigers (2012-13), White Sox (2013-18), Tampa Bay Rays (2019) and Brewers.
