The Oklahoma City Thunder signed center Moses Brown to a multi-year deal on Monday.

The Thunder didn’t reveal terms, but ESPN reported it is a four-year, $6.8 million agreement. The Thunder hold a team option on the fourth year.

The 7-foot-2 Brown was signed to a two-way contract in December by the Thunder but has recently emerged as a promising player. He established career highs of 21 points and 23 rebounds in Saturday’s 111-94 loss to the Boston Celtics.

Brown, 21, is averaging 8.3 points and 7.9 rebounds in 16 games (five starts) this season. He is shooting 61.9 percent from the field while averaging 17.5 minutes.

Brown has 12 or more rebounds in five of the past six games.

Brown will likely see an increase in playing time after the Thunder revealed veteran big man Al Horford will be inactive for every game the rest of the season.

Brown saw action in nine games for the Portland Trail Blazers last season and averaged 1.2 points and 1.6 rebounds. He was an undrafted free agent out of UCLA.
