Ohio State’s Chase Young: ‘I definitely think I’m the best player in the draft’

Chase Young NFL Draft

History has a way of repeating itself. It was this time last year that Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa was largely considered the top overall player in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Fast forward a year, and another former Buckeyes star thinks he holds that title. Speaking from the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, edge rusher Chase Young emphatically noted that he thinks he’s the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Young might very well be correct. However, he won’t be the first pick in the draft. LSU quarterback and reigning heisman winner Joe Burrow will go No. 1 overall to either the Cincinnati Bengals or another team trading up to that slot.

As for the comparison to last year’s draft, the Arizona Cardinals took Kyler Murray with the first pick while Nick Bosa landed with the San Francisco 49ers at two.

As of right now, it seems Young is locked in to go to the Washington Redskins with the second pick.
