It’s not yet known whether Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be traded ahead of the deadline later on Tuesday.
What we know is that OBJ and his camp is doing everything possible to force Cleveland’s hands. That includes the Pro Bowl receiver’s dad taking to social media to blast quarterback Baker Mayfield for not getting his son the ball. Said post showed 11 minutes of evidence that the older Beckham concludes shows Mayfield missing his wide-open son.
This comes on the heels of Odell Beckham catching just one pass for six yards on one target in Sunday’s ugly 15-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It also comes amid rumors that the two sides could be headed for a divorce.
For good measure, NBA star LeBron James also took to social media, proclaiming it’s time to “FreeOBJ.”

Time for Odell Beckham, Cleveland Browns divorce?
Acquired in a blockbuster trade with the New York Giants ahead of the 2019 season, Beckham Jr. just has not panned out in Cleveland.
Thus far this year, he’s recorded 17 receptions for 232 yards and zero touchdowns while catching a mere 50% of his targets in six games. Remember, the three-time Pro Bowler missed all but seven games of the 2020 campaign due to a torn ACL.
The issue here as it relates to any potential trade is the 28-year-old’s contract. He’s set to count $15 million against the salary cap each of the next two seasons. Whether any team comes calling here in the next couple hours remains to be seen.
