With the 2018 MLB season getting going, the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants are set to take on one another in the preseason version of the Battle of the Bay.
What better time for the A’s to send a clear message to their Northern California rivals? Well, that’s exactly what they did with this weird press release Saturday announcing pricing for parking this season.
This is one of the stranger releases I’ve ever seen. pic.twitter.com/KwTfFFg7j8

That’s right. The A’s announced that Giants fans will have to pay $50 for parking unless they yell “go A’s” at the parking gates. In that case, they’ll be charged $30 for parking. Meanwhile, A’s fans will pay $30 for parking with season ticket holders dropping just $10 per game.
Yeah, petty is at an all-time high here.
