The off-field issues surrounding young Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is already starting to impact his pocketbook.
Having already been suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, Winston is now without a major sponsorship deal.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Nike has opted not to renew Winston’s contract. Said deal expired prior to the most-recent allegations against Winston.

The No. 1 pick back in 2015, Winston signed his marketing deal with Nike prior to being selected that year. It came on the heels of a volatile college career at Florida State.
While Winston has since issued an apology surrounding the 2016 incident in Arizona, the concern is that he’s nowhere near mature enough to be counted on as a star around the NFL. Nike obviously agrees.
