The Washington Capitals (4-2-0) finish off their four-game homestand on Tuesday night. They will host the Seattle Kraken (3-1-2) at Capital One Arena.

The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.

The Capitals won the first two games of the homestand, but fell to the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 on Sunday. Washington trailed 4-0 in the second period, but attempted a rally with three unanswered goals, only to fall short.

Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery said there would be changes to the lineup for Tuesday night’s contest. Mainly with the forward lines.

Pierre-Luc Dubois is still dealing with a lower-body injury and has missed each game in the homestand. He will also miss tonight’s game, but could return Friday/Saturday for Washington’s next back-to-back.

With Dubois out, Justin Sourdif will move up from fourth-line wing to the third-line center. Hendrix Lapierre will move to the wing, while Connor McMichael remains second-line center.

Forward Ethen Frank will also make his season debut and will likely line up on the fourth line. Sonny Milano will be sitting out as a healthy scratch.

Meanwhile, the Kraken will conclude a six-game road trip that began a week ago in Montreal. Seattle was in Philly last night and suffered their first regulation loss of the season to the Flyers, 5-2. Berkly Catton made his NHL debut for the Kraken and recorded one point, an assist.

Ex-Capitals assistant coach Lane Lambert returns to D.C. in his first season as Seattle’s head coach. In addition, 2018 Stanley Cup champion Chandler Stephenson will also return to Capital One Arena.

On a non-hockey related note, Kraken fans watching this game are likely recovering from last night’s heartbreak with the Mariners.
