For the first time since November 12th, the Golden Knights aren’t in complete control of the top spot in the Pacific Division. The Edmonton Oilers overcame a first period 3-0 deficit to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in regulation. They are now tied with the Golden Knights with 61 points on the season. The Golden Knights have a game in hand and are still first in the division, but the Oilers are surging and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. Elsewhere in the Daily: a record is within spitting distance, the Colorado Avalanche struggle to ink star winger to an extension, and the Boston Bruins announce plans for the trade deadline.

Golden Knights News

The Golden Knights have lost two games in a row just four times this season. They’ll be looking to avoid making that five times today at 4 p.m. against the Carolina Hurricanes. They have lost their last three matchups against the Hurricanes, including a 5-2 loss at home earlier this season. With a win– or an overtime loss– the Golden Knights can regain control of the Pacific Division.
