It has been quite some time since the New York Islanders have faced the Carolina Hurricanes. In fact the last time these two teams saw one another was March 7, 2020.

Now they’ll drop the puck against one another on the 2021-22 NHL season as the Islanders face their toughest expectations since the 1980ss. New York is viewed as a Stanley Cup favorite to start the year and for the first time since the beging of the 2020
