In a season of struggles, the New York Islanders have seen players achieve personal milestones, personal achievements, ranging from strong games to historical records. But regardless of the struggles and regardless of the magnitude of the accomplishments, winning remained the top priority.
And that’s how it should be in sports. There are leagues, occupations out there where individual performances outweigh that of team success.
