NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

As we near the March 7th NHL trade deadline, there is increasing chatter that the Carolina Hurricanes could flip newly acquired forward, Mikko Rantanen. The Hurricanes are reportedly working diligently to come to terms on an extension with the Finnish forward, but he’s unsure of what he wants regarding his future. There’s still some time for Carolina to figure this out, but the clock’s ticking.

Saturday Headlines: After Darren Dreger reported the above between Rantanen and the Hurricanes, Elliotte Friedman explained that the Hurricanes made the Finnish forward a long-tern deal that is nine digits long.

Sportsnet: Now, this is interesting. Friedman also revealed that multiple teams have been calling around to see if they can acquire and unite both Schenn brothers on their team.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Ex-Devil turned analyst, P.K. Subban is one of the more outspoken members of the media. When analyzing the Pittsburgh Penguins, he was quite forward while ripping on them.
