The Nikolaj Ehlers idea certainly struck up conversation among New Jersey Devils fans. All I know is if you can add a player who scored 3.47 points/60, which was 16th best in the NHL among players who skated 100 minutes or more last season, you should probably look into it.

Devils Trade Rumors & News

New Jersey Hockey Now: If the Devils are going to look to upgrade their offense through free agency, there is one winger they should have at the top of their list. No, it’s not Mitch Marner. Nikolaj Ehlers’ preferences align with what the Devils can offer.

NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

DailyFaceoff: The latest Sheet blog from Jeff Marek offers an eyebrow raiser. These things are never unfounded, right? Marek speculates whether the Anaheim Ducks—after trading for Chris Kreider—could be super aggressive and sign both Mitch Marner and John Tavares this summer.

Colorado Hockey Now: Are the Colorado Avalanche in a sneaky position to be in the J.J. Peterka sweepstakes? Perhaps, they could trade the reported unhappy Martin Necas?

Vegas Hockey Now: One of the names that could somewhat have been expected to be named to Team Canada’s initial Olympic roster was Alex Pietrangelo. However, he wasn’t named, and Elliotte Friedman doubled down on the Vegas Golden Knights defenseman’s injury concern.

NYI Hockey Now: The New York Islanders kick off a second straight week with a management move. This week, the club announced that they’ve hired Ryan Bowness as Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel.
