Kevin Rooney, 31, started his NHL career with the Devils in the 2016-17 season after signing as an undrafted free agent from Providence College. He accumulated 14 points in 95 games over three seasons with the Devils before joining the New York Rangers in 2020. In the most recent season, Rooney appeared in 23 games for the Calgary Flames, recording two goals and two assists.

Luke Glendening, 36, entered the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings as an undrafted free agent in 2013 following four years at the University of Michigan. He played eight seasons in Detroit, excelling in faceoffs and penalty killing, then moved to the Dallas Stars in 2021. In 2023, Glendening signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he scored 11 goals in 81 games last season.

Adam Scheel, 26, went undrafted and played three seasons at the University of North Dakota, achieving a 1.95 goals-against average. He signed with the Dallas Stars in 2021 and spent most of his professional career in the AHL with the Texas Stars, posting a 2.91 GAA in the 2021-22 season. Last season, Scheel played in the ECHL for the Utah Grizzlies and Idaho Steelheads, with a 2.92 GAA in 25 games.

Georgi Romanov, 24, from Yekaterinburg, Russia, competed in the MHL from 2016 to 2020 before entering the San Jose Sharks organization in 2021. He debuted in the AHL with the San Jose Barracuda in the 2022-23 season, recording a 3.16 GAA in 19 games. In the 2024-25 season, Romanov has a 3.89 GAA and .877 save percentage in six AHL games with the Barracuda.

Players such as Arseni Gritsyuk and Juho Lammikko will have competition pushing them to impress for the NHL roster, and the goaltending depth at the AHL level will certainly be tested.
