
It’s certainly been quiet around the NHL ever since the July 1st Free Agent Frenzy passed. Seemingly, the only general manager that has done anything since is in Pittsburgh, making a few smaller moves with the hopes of adding youth and strengthening their depth. That doesn’t mean things aren’t happening behind the scenes, but the inactive period feels uneasy, especially for the New Jersey Devils who have more work to do.

In somewhat Devils-related news, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded ex-Devils first round pick Chase Stillman yesterday to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Arturs Silovs.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired F Chase Stillman and a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for G Artūrs Šilovs.

Chicago Hockey Now: Anton Frondell’s name skyrocketed as the 2025 NHL Draft drew nearer and nearer. The Chicago Blackhawks took him third overall. Now, the question is what should the rebuilding Hawks do with the Swedish forward?
