Look away, Devils fans. By no means is this a definitive list, but the suitors for Buffalo Sabres forward J.J. Peterka on the trade market were revealed, and the Devils are not among said teams. That doesn’t mean they aren’t in, or won’t be in the future. However, according to Frank Seravalli, the following teams are in the mix for the German forward.

The Athletic ($): Speaking of the Sabres, Bowen Byram’s name is out there in trade discussions again. To no fault of his own. Buffalo reportedly has a lot of moving parts. Anyway, here are eight teams that should be interested in Byram.
NHL.com: The Devils broke the transactions dam, and more went down yesterday. First, Matt Duchene extended with the Stars. Then the Stars traded Mason Marchment to the Seattle Kraken.
NYI Hockey Now: Word on Noah Dobson’s potential contract extension with the New York Islanders has been revealed. The 25-year-old defenseman’s initial ask would give the richest contract extension in terms of average annual value in Islanders history if granted.
Montreal Hockey Now: According to a source, the Montreal Canadiens could end-up being Claude Giroux’s contingency plan should a deal with the Ottawa Senators fail to materialize.
