Prospect David Reinbacher took part in his first taste of legitimate hockey action since the 2024-25 Calder Cup playoffs. Reinbacher featured on the Laval Rocket’s first pairing, alongside Adam Engstrom. It’s too early to worry about his results, as he’ll need a little while to get up to speed, but it is still quite encouraging to see him back on the ice.
The Rocket would go on to lose 2-1, with Jared Davidson (6) scoring the lone goal for Laval.

It hasn’t been a dominant start to the season for prospect Vinzenz Rohrer, who currently plays for the ZSC Lions in the NL (Switzerland). However, he did manage to score his first goal of the season on Friday, doing so while in mid-flight.

I’m not going to lie, I have a hard time recognizing most of the costumes from the Montreal Canadiens Halloween party. Zachary Bolduc is Luigi, that much I know.

It’s spooky season! And although the New Jersey Devils are off to an 8-3-0 start to their regular season, there are certainly some scary trends creeping into their game. [New Jersey Devils]
With a couple of days of good practice time, Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice has addressed his team’s offence. Or lack thereof. The Panthers went 5-5-1 in the first month of the season which, as of Thursday, was outside a playoff spot. Scoring has been one of Florida’s biggest concerns thus far. [Florida Panthers]
What a month it’s been for the Avalanche. After defeating the Pacific Division-leading Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 on Friday, the Avs (7-1-4) became the last remaining team to have only one regulation loss. [Colorado Avalanche]
