It’s official. Tom Brady will return for a 19th season with the New England Patriots. We already knew this was going to be the case. But a recent social media post gives us some insight about why Brady has decided to return.

He wants to get to that elusive 1,000-yard career rushing mark.

That’s just great stuff right there. Seeing Brady run on sand shows us exactly how immobile he is as a quarterback. In fact, the 40-year-old signal caller has rushed for 100-plus yards just three times in his 18 NFL seasons.

At the very least, Brady isn’t afraid to mock himself. That’s pretty much been the case throughout his career. An underrated funny guy, Mr. Brady sure knows when to make an appearance on the comedy circuit.

There had been some question about whether Brady would in fact return to the Patriots after a drama-filled 2017 season for the organization. But he continues to play at a ridiculously high level.

This past year saw the five-time Super Bowl champion put up 4,577 yards with 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions en route to leading New England to a second consecutive conference title.
