WATCH: Rob Gronkowski visits fan at Boston hospital

Lauren Mezio — a patient awaiting a new kidney and a second heart transplant at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston — wanted to meet Rob Gronkowski.

On Monday, the New England Patriots tight end made her wish become a reality.

Gronkowski showed up at the hospital to meet his fan, take some pictures, and even show off his trademark spike.

It’s been a long and confusing offseason for Gronk, with speculation about what he might do in the 2018 season changing frequently. But here, he looks like the same Gronk that we’ve gotten to know so well throughout his career.

Here’s hoping that Gronkowski and Mezio can meet again, only out of the hospital.
