The Denver Broncos appeared poised to hand the Kansas City Chiefs their first defeat on Monday. But the Chiefs had other ideas.

Denver held a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. But a two-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce closed the deficit to three. Then, after a three-and-out, Kansas City went for the lead. On a drive that included a left-handed pass from Patrick Mahomes (which you can see here), the Chiefs went up late on a Kareem Hunt touchdown.

The Kansas City defense bent, but didn’t break on Denver’s final drive to seal the win.

Twitter had a lot to say about the comeback win from the now 4-0 Chiefs.

Next up for Kansas City is a showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have one of the NFL’s best defenses. That will be a fun one.
