The Seattle Seahawks coaching staff made one of the worst play calls in the history of the NFL late in Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

With one yard to go and the team down by four points and inside of the one-minute mark, Seattle bypassed on Marshawn Lynch in lieu of a slant from Russell Wilson to Ricardo Lockette.

New England Patriots’ rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler saw that play coming and zipped in for an interception. The rest is history, as New England gained possession of the ball and took a knee for the win.

Pete Carroll won’t live this down anytime soon.

Roger Goodell must be thrilled to lose the heat.

Didn’t think we’d be hearing from Marshawn Lynch on Pete Carroll.

Ha. blame it on auto correct.

Forget Deflate-Gate. It’s time for Throw-Gate

Need a little sugar?

Luckily, there are a lot of coffee drinkers in Seattle.

This will take a lifetime for Pete Carroll to live down.

And his tweet really doesn’t help much right now.
