The New England Patriots had to punt on their first drive of Super Bowl XLIX, but it should have been wiped out because of roughing the kicker on Seattle Seahawks safety Jeron Johnson.

Johnson was called for running into the kicker, which is only a five-yard offense. A correct roughing call would have resulted in an automatic first down, continuing New England’s drive.

The Seahawks punted on the ensuing possession.
