This is the last thing the Seattle Seahawks needed after a thrilling comeback victory over the Houston Texans at home on Sunday.
All-Pro safety Earl Thomas had to exit the game with a hamstring injury late in the fourth quarter. He seemed to have suffered the injury on a 72-yard touchdown strike from Deshaun Watson to DeAndre Hopkins with just under five minutes left.
Thomas did not return.
Now, this one report from ESPN’s Josina Anderson is indicating that Thomas will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

This most definitely isn’t good. Thomas, one of the best players in the game, missed the final five games of last season to a leg injury. It prompted him to discuss the possibility of retirement.
At 28 years old, Thomas is still in the prime of his career. That was magnified Sunday against Houston when he put up this pick-six (watch here).
If the Seahawks end up missing Thomas for an extended period of time, it will be a major blow to a defense that yielded north of 500 yards to a team led by a rookie quarterback on Sunday.
