Just as the Seattle Seahawks got No. 1 receiver Doug Baldwin back after he missed the entire preseason slate, it looks like the team might be without him for a while.

Baldwin originally suffered what was called a leg injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. After attempting to give it a go, Baldwin was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.

The injury itself didn’t look good. Baldwin got rolled up on by a Broncos defender, immediately grabbing for his leg in the process.

It’s obviously too early to tell how serious the injury might be. But if it’s of the long-term variety, Seattle could be in trouble. Baldwin is averaging 1,000 receiving yards and about 10 touchdowns over the past three seasons.

Update: Pete Carroll announced after Sunday’s loss that Baldwin suffered a sprained MCL. All things considered, that’s good news.
