Seattle Seahawks defensive back Brandon Browner was being investigated for allegedly assaulting the grandfather of one of his children in California back in early July.

It was definitely a troubling development for a former Pro Bowler who had gone through some rough times on the field since his departure from Seattle back in 2014.

Though, it now looks like Browner has been completely cleared of wrongdoing regarding the incident in question.

Per TMZ Sports:

“According to new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, the investigation hit a major roadblock — because officials could not locate or interview Browner … and the witnesses suddenly became uncooperative.”

At that point, authorities came to the conclusion that they could not get a conviction on assault charges, instead deciding to let Browner off the hook altogether.

Browner, 32, recorded 76 tackles, 10 passes defended and one interception for the New Orleans Saints last season.

He figures to play an important role on Seattle’s defense after signing a one-year deal to return to the Pacific Northwest during the spring.
