Despite their recent Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks are currently favored to win the title this year with 6/1 odds. The Green Bay Packers come in second at 7/1.

Interestingly enough, it came down to these two teams in the NFC Championship game this past January. If the betting odds play out as predicted now, we could very well see Seattle and Green Bay fighting it out once again to play for the title in Santa Clara next February.
As far as the AFC goes, Super Bowl betting odds place the Indianapolis Colts as the favorites at 8/1. Not all too surprising, the New England Patriots trail only Indianapolis with 17/2 odds in the AFC. Apparently, oddsmakers aren’t too concerned about Tom Brady’s four-game suspension impacting the team’s record.
Like the Seahawks and Packers, the Patriots and Colts were the two teams who battled for the AFC Championship rights last January.
What the odds are projecting now is that the same four teams that competed for conference crowns last season will do the same this upcoming January. How boring would that be?
It would be a real upset if teams such as the Tennessee Titans or Jacksonville Jaguars, who both currently sit at 200/1 odds, climbed their way to the top.
If the favored Seahawks make it to the title game, it will be their third appearance in a row. While it’s always fun to speculate, it is hard to believe we are already talking about Super Bowl 50 just a few days after the Patriots received their Super Bowl XLIX rings.
Let’s just hope the subject of deflated footballs is long-buried by February of next year.
