Odell Beckham Jr. LSU

In some shocking non-postseason NFL news, Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was slapped with an arrest warrant for allegedly slapping the behind of a police officer.

The incident occurred Monday night after Beckham’s alma mater LSU beat Clemson in the College Football National Championship Game. Beckham came up from behind the officer, who was speaking with an LSU player, and appeared to slap him on the buttocks (watch here).

Beckham had a wild night, to be sure, and he may have gotten the school in trouble for handing out real cash to LSU players.

But many in the NFL community were stunned and aghast that Beckham ended up getting hit with an arrest warrant over the butt slap. Others felt that the officer was justified for pressing charges. And of course, many took the opportunity to crack jokes.

Here’s how the NFL community reacted to the news.
