The NFL tweeted, then deleted a post containing the photos of several quarterbacks who might face each other in Super Bowl 50.
The tweet read:
“It will be _____ vs. ______ at #SB50.”
In the photo post, the NFL included Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer. Up until the last name, we might think that this list is somewhat reasonable. However, the quarterback who is missing is Tom Brady, who has four championship rings.
The quarterback who is totally questionable in the list above is obviously Palmer. We’re not exactly sure how he ended up in the mix versus Brady. Perhaps it was just a clerical error. However, since the tweet has been deleted, there is surely some embarrassment going on behind the scenes at the NFL’s Twitter account.
Brady managed to evade his four=game suspension after U.S. district court judge Richard Berman ruled against Commissioner Roger Goodell’s “Deflategate” punishment. Perhaps the dissing of Brady by the NFL was a last ditch effort to throw some shade on the golden quarterback.
