On Saturday, New York Giants All-Pro edge rusher Brian Burns will have his celebrity softball game at Clover Stadium in Pomona, NY. The event is being organized by Giants super fan License Plate Guy Joe Ruback.
The reason for the event is to help raise funds for the Hype 4 Life Foundation, which is a non-profit organization focused on supporting families of children with autism.
In addition to Burns, many current Giants will play in the game, including Jaxson Dart, Abdul Carter, Andrew Thomas, and many more. They’ll play against Giants legends such as Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, and other players from the team’s glory days.
OBJ to take part in Brian Burns’ NY Giants heavy softball game
On Wednesday, it was announced that another former Giant will partake in the activities, and that’s Odell Beckham Jr. There has been speculation brewing for months that OBJ and Big Blue may have a reunion. Those speculations grew even more when the team brought him in for a workout in April.
With star wide receiver Malik Nabers‘ status for the start of the season in the air after he had a second surgery on his knee, the Giants could use another wideout. With Beckham attending an event with some of his old teammates and current Giants, it feels like his signing with the Giants is imminent.
The team will have their mandatory minicamp from June 8th until June 10th, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if OBJ is back on the field with them. We should have confirmation shortly on whether or not Big Blue will have a reunion with OBJ.
