“Wilson,” a miniature horse that has become a fixture during Seattle Seahawks games over the years, stands just 29 inches tall and sports Seahawk blue and green on his mane. Of course, they are colored with washable finger paints that are completely non-toxic.

The “12th Pony,” as the unofficial mascot is known as, is popular with some players as well as the mothers of both Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman.

Now—according to his owner—the miniature horse is preparing to begin a 1,400 mile trip from Seattle to Glendale, Arizona.

“We’d have gone to New York last year, but the logistics — it was too far to drive him in his trailer.” Wilson’s owner said. “But Arizona is not too far to drive, and we have a lot of friends and family down there.”

While we are all probably thinking Wilson is named after the team’s quarterback, he’s not. He was rescued when he was five and named after the ball in the movie “Castaway.”

If this adorable little guy doesn’t help bring the Seahawks a sense of feeling at home when they spot his neon colors at the game, then I don’t know what would.
