As the 2019 NFL Draft approaches and pass rusher Frank Clark remains without a long-term contract, the Seattle Seahawks are reportedly still considering trading their top pass rusher.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Seattle’s front office would be seeking a package that includes at least one first-round pick if it is going to move Clark before Thursday’s draft.
The Seahawks placed the franchise tag on Clark in March and reports emerged a month later that they were open to trading him. Most recently, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Clark could be moved during the 2019 NFL Draft.
The 25-year-old defensive end is seeking a long-term contract after he set a career-high in sacks with 14 in 2018. Entering his fifth season, Clark has registered 33 sacks over his past three seasons.
As a defensive end, Clark’s 2019 salary sits at $17.1 million under the 2019 franchise tag.
