If you’re planning on getting away with a heist, it probably makes sense do dress up in a disguise as a way to distract authorities.
Two problems with this plan. Make sure you’re not simply wearing a football jersey when attempting to evade the police. Definitely don’t do so in front of a camera at a local watering hole.
Police in Massachusetts are seeking the public’s help to find a man that apparently climbed over the bar to steal a helmet that was signed by the Patriots Super Bowl XLIX champion team. He then wrapped the helmet in his Tom Brady jersey and took off (via the Associated Press)
The theft occurred at Skipjack’s in Foxborough earlier in August, at which point the thief also left the establishment without paying his bar tab. Really, what is this world coming to?
He did, however, call up the bar the next day to confess stealing the helmet, promising to return it via the mail. That hasn’t happened quite yet.
