Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is the best receiver in his draft class. He has gone far beyond proving that his 5-foot-10 height has done anything to negatively impact his success.
Between juggling his offseason escapades which included being a contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Brown discussed his NFL journey prior to the debut of ESPN’s “Body Issue.” He made it clear that being drafted in the sixth round because of his size has only helped him achieve greatness in the NFL.
“Being passed up by teams because of my size made me hungry, Brown said per Morty Ain of ESPN. I’ve seen a lot of first-round guys who come in and never really do nothing because they may not appreciate the opportunity because everything has been given to them. I think guys who come from the bottom understand how hard it is, so they appreciate the opportunities more.”
Brown, 27, has improved immensely over his past three years with the Steelers. Last year he broke Steelers records in both receptions (136) and yards (1,834) while scoring 10 touchdowns.
As we can see from Brown’s “Body Issue” photography, the receiver maintains his stellar physique.

It really wouldn’t matter if Brown was 6-foot-10, the final product out on the NFL field would surely be the same.
Brown continued to discuss his mindset that his height, as well as that of other shorter receivers in the NFL, is really is not an issue.
“It hasn’t held me back — actually, I think I’ve changed the perception of smaller receivers. My being able to do what I do at my size, being able to create opportunities for other guys … I used to play with Bruce Arians [in Pittsburgh, when he was offensive coordinator], who is now head coach for Arizona, and he went on to draft T.Y. Hilton in the third round [as the Colts’ OC]. He drafted John Brown, who starts for the Cardinals, in the third round. So I think guys like myself have been able to create opportunities for these guys who may be my size.”
There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that Brown’s production will decline in 2016. In fact, if Ben Roethlisberger returns healthy and manages a full season, Brown could perhaps top the fantastic numbers he produced last season.
To keep in shape, Brown practices good nutrition and a strict training regime. He also takes time out for rest, massages and acupuncture, per the report.
Obviously, Brown has perfected his recipe for success.
