NFL world reacts to Jalen Ramsey requesting a trade

Well, that was pretty darn fast. One day after getting into it with Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone on the sideline, Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade through his agent.

Ramsey, 24, has been among the best cornerbacks in the NFL since entering the league as a top-five pick of the Jaguars back in 2016. However, he’s continually got into spats with the Jaguars’ brass.

Whether this means Ramsey is going to be traded remains to be seen, but the football world had its reactions to his request for a trade.

The 49ers look like they might possibly end their playoff drought. Both Jalen Ramsey and Minkah Fitzpatrick are far superior players to whoever they will draft in the first round next year. I realize they've already traded away their 2nd rounder, but this is the move to make.

Weirdly, the Texans might have made it more difficult for the Jags to trade Jalen Ramsey.

The price tag for Ramsey after the Tunsil trade has to be multiple 1s and 2s, and that’s a lot to ask when a team is going to also give that player a market-value contract.

1. Ramsey made it clear he would never play for the #Cowboys as long as Jerry Jones is the owner.

2. If they aren’t giving up a first for Minkah, they’re not emptying pockets for Ramsey — who has a monster extension coming up in 2020.
