A stunning new NFL rumor suggests Aaron Rodgers is not yet ready to retire and has a team in mind to continue his career. Furthermore, he wants to bring pal Davante Adams with him to this NFC West franchise.
Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. During 18 seasons in Green Bay, the 10-time Pro Bowler led the franchise to their last Super Bowl win and was a four-time NFL MVP. However, his time in New York with the Jets was an absolute disaster.
He played just a few snaps for Gang Green in 2023 before a ruptured Achilles ended his season. Then despite staying healthy for all of the 2024 campaign, the NFL great looked like a shell of himself during an awful 5-12 season. Unsurprisingly, with a new regime running the show for the Jets, it was quickly revealed this offseason that the franchise will not be moving forward with Rodgers as their starting QB in 2025.
It has led to a lot of speculation on what’s next for the 41-year-old. After nearly retiring before accepting a trade to the New York Jets, it seems ending his career this offseason is possible. However, a wild new report from New York Daily News NFL reporter Pat Leonard claims Rodgers is hoping to play for one specific team in 2025.

Aaron Rodgers wants to join the Los Angeles Rams and bring Davante Adams with him

“Sources tell the Daily News that Aaron Rodgers prefers to play for the Rams and that the outgoing Jets QB would bring Davante Adams with him once the Jets receiver becomes a free agent,” Leonard wrote on X, formerly Twitter, this week.
Many things need to happen first before this can at all become a possibility. First, the Los Angeles Rams must decide to move on from current QB Matthew Stafford. The two-time Pro Bowler is looking for a new contract and there have been rumors he could be traded in the coming weeks.
Then the Jets have to release both Rodgers and his pal Adams. Adams and Rodgers became close friends during their time in Green Bay and that is why the QB pushed New York to trade for him last season. If they can continue to play together they may be willing to play for LA at a bargain rate in 2025.
