NFL considering postponing Chiefs-Rams game in Mexico City

The much-anticipated clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams is at risk of being postponed due to field conditions.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the field condition at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is subpar and the NFL is concerned about the game.

After seeing the surface, the worry is totally understandable.

Given the string of underwhelming prime-time games recently, the selfish hope is the Chiefs and Rams — two of the NFL’s best teams — will play Monday.

However, it might also be smarter to move the game. Former Oakland Raiders CEO Amy Trask suggested the game be moved to Los Angeles and all proceeds be used to support those impacted by the tragic wildfires in California.

This situation, assuredly, will be monitored closely.
