The New York Yankees reinstated first baseman Luke Voit from the 10-day injured list, the team announced Tuesday.

Voit is expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg, Fla. He has been sidelined since undergoing surgery after an MRI in late March revealed a partially torn meniscus in his right knee.

The 30-year-old will take the roster spot made available after infielder Miguel Andujar was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after the Yankees’ 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday.

Voit led the majors in home runs with 22 during the shortened 2020 season. The 22 homers were a career high for Voit, despite playing in just 56 games.

Voit has a .274 batting average, 62 home runs and 168 RBIs in 283 career games with the St. Louis Cardinals and Yankees.
