As the New York Jets head toward another pathetic finish in 2023, it seems that fans have abandoned them on Christmas Eve and tickets for their game on Sunday are going for rock-bottom rates.

After a disappointing 7-10 finish last year, there was a lot of hope the Jets could turn things around in 2023 with the help of NFL legend Aaron Rodgers. However, in just a matter of four plays the future Hall-of-Famer’s season was over and New York’s chances to reach the playoffs this season went with him.

Despite the best efforts of the defense and head coach Robert Saleh, the Jets have been a disaster this year and are headed to their eighth double-digit losing season in the last decade. It’s no surprise that the constant losing has taken the life out of Jets fans and it seems their supporters rather spend time with family and friends on Christmas Eve than go out to see them in person at Metlife Stadium today.

New York Jets tickets for NFL Week 16 going for as low as $6

Ahead of their Week 16 game against another lowly team in the Washington Commanders, prices for tickets to today’s game are going for as low as $6 on third-party ticket site StubHub. There are even some premium seats on the ground level near the endzone that are being sold for around $30.

It is a shocking development considering how hard NFL tickets can be to find all over the country with the league being as popular as it’s ever been. Yet, with the New York Jets headed to a 13th straight season without reaching the playoffs, and officially eliminated from the postseason chase, it is understandable if their beaten-down fan base isn’t interested in seeing another loss in person for the holidays.

The Jets face the Commanders at 1 PM ET on CBS.
