The New Jersey Devils acquired defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler from the Washington Capitals on Sunday in exchange for a conditional third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Siegenthaler, 23, registered a minus-3 rating and did not record a point in seven games this season. The Switzerland native has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 97 career games since being selected by the Capitals in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft.

The conditional third-round pick initially belonged to the Arizona Coyotes. It was acquired by the Devils as part of the Taylor Hall trade on Dec. 16, 2019.
