Charlotte Hornets rookie forward P.J. Washington suffered a fractured finger on Friday, and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports he’ll be out through Christmas.

If Wojnarowski’s timeline is correct, then Washington will miss at least five games with this fractured finger.

Prior to this season, he was selected 12th overall during the 2019 NBA Draft.

The rookie out of Kentucky has played well so far in his first year as an NBA player. He’s averaged 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game, playing over 29 minutes per game.
