A big blockbuster trade has been rumored in the NBA for several weeks. On Sunday, the NBA announced a record-setting trade involving seven teams, including the Houston Rockets.

The trade is part of a series of transactions that were previously announced. Now, the NBA has made the Kevin Durant trade to the Rockets official, but there are so many other strings attached. Below, we’ll try to break down all of them.

  • Phoenix Suns get: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming, Koby Brea, Daeqwon Plowden, second-round pick.
  • Houston Rockets get: Kevin Durant, Clint Capela
  • Brooklyn Nets get: Two second-round picks
  • Golden State Warriors: Alex Toohey, Jahmai Mashack
  • Atlanta Hawks: Second-round pick swap, David Roddy, cash
  • Los Angeles Lakers: Adou Thiero
  • Minnesota Timberwolves: Rocco Sikarsky, two second-round picks

So, what’s so historic about this NBA trade? It’s the first one in league history that involves seven teams. No wonder it took so long to figure out.

While this trade had been hinted at for over a week, now all the teams can move on comfortably, knowing they were able to generate a few extra trade chips from trades that already seemed to be agreed upon.
