Former LSU star Tremont Waters is in Las Vegas with his new Boston Celtics team after they made him a second-round pick last month.
Sadly for Waters, basketball is now taking a back seat after his father was reportedly found dead in a Connecticut hotel on Thursday.
“Edward Waters Jr. was found unresponsive when police said they responded to a report of an injured or sick person at the Super 8 Hotel around noon on Thursday,” the CT Post reported.
Detectives are investigating the case as an untimely death. There’s no further information availalbe at this time.
Our thoughts obviously go out to Waters, his family and the entire Celtics organization.
