The NBA world has gathered in Chicago for All-Star Weekend to recognize the game’s best players and to honor Kobe Bryant. Now, Kobe’s legacy will be remembered forever with the NBA naming the All-Star Game MVP Award in his name.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced on Saturday that the All-Star Game MVP award will now forever be known as the Kobe Bryant MVP Award.

It’s the perfect way to honor Kobe, an 18-time All-Star guard and a four-time All-Star Game MVP. He brought excitement to the fans and represented everything the All-Star Game is about, making this a fitting tribute to his legacy.

The tributes to Kobe and his daughter Gianna, including from Vanessa Bryant, have been incredible and capture his impact on millions of lives.
