Fans of the Washington Nationals heartily booed Bryce Harper in his first at-bat in Washington as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Nats Twitter account was in more of a trolling mood.

Harper was struck out by Max Scherzer in that at-bat. Shortly thereafter, we got a pretty strong message from Washington’s Twitter account.

We suppose this could just be a tribute to Scherzer. But the man struck out 300 hitters a season ago. The Nats certainly weren’t posting all of those to Twitter.

The petty is real between these NL East rivals. And quite frankly, we can’t get enough of it.
