FC Dallas acquired defenseman Eulanio Angelo Chipela Gomes, better known as Nanu, on a one-year loan from Portugal side FC Porto on Monday.

Nanu, 27, will occupy an international roster slot and be added to the roster pending receipt of his paperwork.

The loan comes with an option to buy in December 2022.

Nanu made 172 appearances overall while in Portugal and scored nine goals. During the 2021 season, he appeared in 11 matches for Porto. He’s also had stints with Beira-Mar (2013-15), Maritimo B (2015-18) and CS Maritimo (2018-20).

He also has 18 caps with the Guinea-Bissau national team.
