It got heated between Nick Castellanos and a fan after the Philadelphia Phillies lost 9-6 to the Cincinnati Reds on the Fourth of July.

After Bryson Stott fouled out on the first pitch to end the game, video shows Castellanos yelling at a fan in the stands. It’s not known what caused the incident or what was said between the outfielder and the fan.

It was a hard-luck loss for the Phillies as they were 3-0 after the first inning but starter Jesus Luzardo wasn’t able to hold the lead.

The Phillies offense struggled again with runners in scoring position, going 3-for-13. Alec Bohm struck out with the bases loaded to end the eighth inning while complaining about a strike three call which was clearly in the zone.

Castellanos went 0-1 with RISP, hitting into an RBI fielder’s choice. It was nearly a double play as the Reds challenged the safe call at first, but it was upheld.

As a team, the Phillies are hitting .197 with the bases loaded on the year, ranking 28th in the league.

With the loss and the New York Mets win over the Yankees, the Phillies hold just a half-game lead for first in the National League East.
