July is here and baseball is picking up pace. There are some good baseball games this week and you should pay attention. Whether it’s playoff battles or big pitching matchups, these five games from July 2 to July 6 are must-watch MLB Games:
5. St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs, Friday, July 4

The Cardinals and Cubs play one of the week’s best games on Apple TV+ as part of their “Friday Night Baseball” lineup. This rivalry on Independence Day adds to the fun, with a nationally televised game and all the Wrigley Field atmosphere you can handle under those holiday skies.
4. New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays, July 2–5

The Yankees and Blue Jays go at it in Toronto with four big pitching matchups. The series opens with Carlos Rodón against Max Scherzer, then Max Fried against Kevin Gausman, followed by Will Warren against José Berríos and finally Clarke Schmidt against Chris Bassitt. With several All-Stars on the mound and playoff positioning on the line, this Canada Day series is loaded with intense baseball.
3. Seattle Mariners vs. Kansas City Royals, July 3–6

The Mariners host the Royals in what analysts call a pivotal stretch for Seattle. The Royals haven’t been hitting well lately but will throw Michael Wacha and Michael Lorenzen to test the Mariners’ rotation and bullpen. Seattle wants to stay in control and build momentum in this big midseason series.
2. Boston Red Sox vs. Cincinnati Reds, July 2–4

The Red Sox and Reds are in a wild-card battle with only a few games between them. This series is special because former Red Sox manager Terry Francona is back in Fenway. But this time he’s managing the Reds. Boston will start rookie Chase Burns in the opener, then Richard Fitts and Brayan Bello. Cincinnati will start Garrett Crochet to begin. The rest of their rotation is TBD.
1. Atlanta Braves vs. Baltimore Orioles, July 4–6

This is the series of the week. Both teams are in the hunt and the Braves are rolling since Ronald Acuña Jr. got back in late May. The Orioles need to steady their pitching against the Braves’ lineup. Since it’s their only meeting this season, there’s extra pressure to make this holiday weekend series count.
