This would have been a great deal for the Phillies…if it was 1996. The mediocre baseball team signed the 39-year-old outfielder to a one-year contract. Fellow Phillies’ outfielder Domonic Brown was eight years old when Abreau made his MLB debut in 1996. Enough said.
